Meet Andrea

Art has always been the thread running quietly through my life. My background is in Visual Art and Communications, and I still return to writing, sketching, and watercolor whenever I need to reconnect with myself. Creating, in any form, is less of a hobby and more of a way of grounding myself in who I am.

Maybe that’s why I’ve always been fascinated by what exists beneath the surface.

The ancient Greeks called part of this ethos—the character and values that quietly reveal who we are. I think about that often. Who we are isn’t merely what we say about ourselves; it’s how we move through the world, how we treat people, what we notice, and what we choose to care about.

And then there is pathos—feeling.

That might be the part I understand most instinctively. I love anything capable of stirring something inside us: art, music, words, intimacy, nostalgia, travel, or a conversation that unexpectedly becomes much deeper than either person intended. I’m interested in the things that make us feel.

Perhaps some of that comes from being an unapologetic ’80s kid—raised on mixtapes, MTV, questionable fashion choices, and a generation that made individuality feel almost rebellious. I’ve always had a little of both in me: the quiet art girl observing from the corner and the woman unafraid to step into the spotlight.

I still love places that invite you to linger: museums, bookstores, quiet cafés, and anywhere near the water. They slow me down enough to notice things—the light falling across a painting, the feel of a well-loved book in my hands, the rhythm of waves somewhere in the distance.

That sense of presence matters to me.
